2020 has been one of the most challenging years in recent history. The Covid-19 pandemic, that started spreading around the globe in the end of 2019, led to an enormous health crisis, caused significant supply chain disruptions and ultimately forced governments to take swift measures to prevent an even bigger catastrophe.
Despite the lockdowns affecting people from multiple professions and businesses, tobacco growers continued to work of the fields. In addition, tobacco was mostly deemed an essential product allowing manufacturing facilities and kiosks to continue their operations with additional measures to ensure workers' safety, decreasing the negative impact on the industry.
